CONTEMPORARY HAND-CRAFTED WOODEN FURNITURE

This Iroko picnic table was individually hand crafted in my own workshop. It has been created so that you can have the option of opening up the table to enjoy the sun with a few friends or easily fold it away and store it against a wall out of the way whilst still giving you a bench to relax on.

Iroko is a hardwood from the west coast of tropical Africa that can live up to 500 years. Iroko is a very durable timber that does not need any oils or treatments. It has a magical and mysterious sheen to its grain varying from a reddish brown to a golden yellow.

This piece of garden furniture is built to last with joints fixed with glue and stainless screws.

With a little care and love this bench will last you a very long time.

For those with smaller spaces but still with the love of outside entertaining please ask about how you can purchase a narrower table for two.

OAK HARDWOOD

Oak is a hardwood whose great strength comes from its high density. Through the ages it has been   used to build many timber framed buildings including parts of the House of Commons. It is a very beautiful timber with a high tannin content that will allow it to withstand all that the English weather has to throw at it.

It is also possible to protect the softwood against the elements with a coating of a well known preservative.
